Why You Shouldn't Pack Shorts For Your Disney Spring Break Trip
By: Diana
So you’re heading to Disney for spring break – whether it’s Florida or California – you’re in the land of palm trees and warm weather so pack the shorts and sun screen right? Maybe not. There is plenty of cool weather in both California and Florida this time of year. Our last two spring break trips both had plenty of days too cool for shorts. And if you’re staying out late for a fireworks show, it can get cool even when the day was warm. So in the words of Scar ‘be prepared’!
Check the weather reports right before you leave and check each day before you head out. A light fleece can be stowed in your backpack – check here for some great backpack options that will easily store your gear. If you know you’re going to be out late, toss in lightweight gloves and hats.
For little ones you should consider a stroller sized blanket – we have some cute options you can check out here. They’re soft and warm and just the right size for your little one to keep snuggly warm while waiting for the fireworks to begin. And believe me when I say the light show on the castle at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is SOOOO worth the wait, even if it is a bit chilly!

In 2004 we had to do an emergency shopping trip for hats and gloves.
