Disney Ticket Pricing
Disney
has recently introduced a new pricing system that makes buying your tickets on
certain days slightly less expensive than others. This can make finding the best deals more complicated. Luckily ExtraordinEAR Gear is here to save the day and make
finding the best deal easier.
The links below will take you to some handy charts that can help you decide what the options are for your trip. There are charts on the total cost per ticket, how much an additional day will cost, and an overall value rating for every day.
If you
are able to pick the week you go, this can help you find the week with the best deal. If you
have to arrange your trip around a school schedule, there are still ways this
information can help you.
The links below will take you to some handy charts that can help you decide what the options are for your trip. There are charts on the total cost per ticket, how much an additional day will cost, and an overall value rating for every day.
When you
buy multi-day tickets you are given a range of days that the tickets are good
starting with the day you select. The longer the tickets is for, the longer the
range you have to use it. This means that you may consider buying a ticket for
a different day than you actually mean to arrive at the parks. For example, if
your first day in the parks is on Sunday, you may want to buy a ticket for
Friday or Saturday if the price is cheaper.
Here’s
the math:
The total
price per ticket is found by multiplying the price per day by the number of
days the ticket is for.
The cost
of an additional day is found by subtracting the total cost of a ticket from
the total cost of the ticket for an additional day. For example the cost of an
additional day on a five day ticket is found by subtracting the cost of a four
day ticket from the cost of a five day ticket.
Value
ratings are
calculated by adding the total cost of the ticket and the additional day cost
then dividing by ten times the number of days the ticket is for. We then round
to one decimal place.
Bottom
line, the longer you stay, the better deal you
are getting. Two and Three day tickets are the worst deal so we would recommend
planning a trip for at least four days if possible. There are a few days where
it costs the same or even less to stay for an additional day that we will make
sure to point out.
