Long Lines, Young Children, No Problem
Crowd Waiting for Avatar Flight of Passage |
By Justin and Diana
While our kids are now in their 20s, we still play the same
games we did when they were young and we had to wait in line for our turn to
ride Dumbo. (That awesome play area was built a few years too late for us to
take advantage!) The reason we still
play these games – they bring back all the great memories we have of past
trips. So here’s our top 5 things to do
in line that get us interacting with each other and not our phones.
Waiting for a parade when our kids were younger |
1. Play the Alphabet Game – everyone takes turns
coming up with a letter. Topic can be
anything, but our favorite is Disney characters so …A is for Alice. Try and
come up with a character for each letter.
2. I’m Going on a Trip to Disney World – take turns
naming things you would pack on a trip to Disney World. This is a memory game
so challenge your kids to remember everything that is said. If your kids are
little, leave out the memorizing part.
3. Find the Hidden Mickeys – throughout the parks
there are Mickey shapes built in. Don’t bother buying a book with the list – we
did that once but it’s more fun looking for them yourself.
4. I Spy – always a fun classic.
5. Time for a snack break – this is a great time to
have a granola bar or a piece of fruit.
6. Check out our new Autograph Book -- not only can you collect autographs in it, but there are also pages with puzzles, games, and journaling to keep you kids busy in long lines.
