Once again, it’s time to celebrate Dads everywhere, even in the Disney Universe. Here are our favorite Disney Dad moments that totally remind us of our own dads.

1. Marlin Looking For Nemo

We love our dads because no matter what, they will always be there to help us. It doesn’t matter if it’s finishing a school project or escaping a fish tank in a dentist’s office, our dads will stop at nothing to help us.

2. Mufasa Giving Simba Advice

We may not always like to admit it, but our dads do give some pretty good advice. Nobody embodies this more than Mufasa.

3. Goofy Embarrassing Max

Sometimes dads can be bit Goofy (pun definitely intended), but that is part of what we love about them. Whether it is bad jokes or incurable clumsiness, dads can always be counted on to remind us to laugh.

4. King Fergus teaching Merida Archery

Queen Elinor and the other lords may not always agree, but King Fergus is totally fine with letting Merida be herself. Dads are there to love and encourage us even if nobody else gets us.

5.       King Triton Making Ariel Human

Dads love us and try to protect us. Sometimes it feels like they go a little overboard, but the sentiment is what matters. In the end though, they also know when to let us go and start our own lives.

Bonus: My Dad!!!

We may not be an animated family, but I think my dad belongs on any list of awesome dads. He always makes me laugh, has willingly helped me move numerous times in the last few years, and has always been there to support me in everything. He even once drove me from Chicago to Springfield and back in one day so I could participate in a state competition. He also watches Disney movies with me and takes me to Disney World, so obviously he is awesome. Love you Dad.
