The Science Behind Pixar

I just went to the Science Behind Pixar exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and I
have to say, it was really cool. I knew there was a lot of math involved in
creating Pixar movies, but I had no idea how it all worked. For a few hours I got
to pretend that I was training to make a Pixar movie.
There are lots of cool, interactive features where you can
participate in the animation process and see how some of your favorite
characters and movies were created. Seeing the whole process gives me a whole
new respect for the people who create these movies.
This is a great exhibit to take kids to. Even if they are
not into math, they will still have fun experimenting with all the different
computer programs the animators use. There is also plenty that adults will
enjoy too. If you are in the Chicago area or this exhibit comes to a museum
near you, take some time to go see it.
